Ironically, the people who are commenting aren’t Cuban. There are nuances that elitist white Cubans and white Americans seem to always forget. The Cubans who left during the 60’s, especially the early 60’s, didn’t know oppression. Cubans who looked like me- did. We’ve known oppression since we arrived from Africa to the island. Those same Cubans were our oppressors pre-Castro but NOBODY speaks of that. We all know why.
